In mid-to-late November, Zhoushan COSCO Shipping Offshore Engineering welcomed three Maersk container vessels for simultaneous repairs at its shipyard: the Murajay, the Sophine, and the Luna. During their stay, these vessels received significant attention from Zhoushan COSCO Shipping Offshore Engineering, with the ship repair system actively coordinating production and management resources to lay a solid foundation for the vessels' smooth departures.

On November 17th, Maersk's Murajay entered the shipyard for repairs. Another vessel from the same series is scheduled to arrive for maintenance in late January. The primary repair work for the Murajay included sandblasting and painting of 46 hatch covers, derusting and painting of connected deck water areas, and other routine dock repair projects. The vessel was quoted a 14-day repair period and completed the work on schedule.

After successfully repairing and modifying four Maersk K-series vessels in 2016, Zhoushan COSCO Shipping Offshore Engineering secured repair orders for another four Maersk S-series vessels. The Sophine, the third vessel in the S-series, underwent major repair works including derusting and painting of hatch covers, lashing bridges, and parts of ballast tanks, as well as deck water areas; approximately 35 tons of steel structure work; and routine dock repairs such as overhauling and maintaining engine room equipment and valves. All four vessels in this series were quoted a 20-day repair cycle, with the first three completing repairs ahead of schedule, averaging around 18 days. The Sophine entered the shipyard on November 20th and sailed smoothly on December 9th, earning high praise from on-site technical supervisors for the successful repair of the S-series vessels.

On November 23rd, Maersk's Luna entered the shipyard for repairs. As the first of two L-series converted vessels, its repair work included both modification projects and routine repairs. The modification projects primarily involved strengthening the steel structures of 36 hatch covers across the vessel, upgrading hatch cover water tightness, reinforcing the engine room upper deck in Bay 48 and the stern upper deck in Bay 60, strengthening 40ft container corner fittings and hatch coamings, replacing the bulbous bow, and replacing propeller blades. Two propeller blades required replacement, with trial voyages conducted to compare fuel efficiency, necessitating three docking sessions to complete. With careful planning and arrangement, hatch covers are currently undergoing water tightness tests after repositioning, the new bulbous bow has been completed, and blue oil tests for the two new propeller blades have been finished, with production progressing smoothly. The on-site technical supervisor highly commended Zhoushan COSCO Shipping Offshore Engineering for its safety, quality, and production progress, expressing confidence that with mutual cooperation, the Luna would undergo timely sea trials and sail smoothly as scheduled.
