After successfully repairing and retrofitting four K-series vessels for Maersk Line, Zhoushan COSCO Shipping Shipyard has once again secured repair orders for four S-series vessels from Maersk. The "Sofie" is the third vessel in Maersk's S-series, with its main repair works encompassing routine dock repair projects such as hatch cover maintenance, lashing bridge overhauls, partial ballast tank treatments, deck water rust removal and painting, steel structure projects, as well as the inspection and maintenance of engine room equipment and valves. All four vessels have a quoted repair cycle of 20 days, with the first three vessels completing their repairs ahead of schedule, each within approximately 18 days. The "Sofie" entered the shipyard for repairs and sailed smoothly on December 9th.

Similarly, Maersk Line's "Luna" entered the shipyard for repairs. As the first of two L-series retrofit vessels, its project involves both retrofitting and routine repairs, requiring a total of three dockings to complete. Currently, the repair and retrofitting works are progressing in an orderly manner, with hatch covers undergoing water tightness testing after repositioning, the new bulbous bow being assembled and welded, and the new propeller blades undergoing blue oil testing. The on-site technical supervisor has highly commended Zhoushan COSCO Shipping Shipyard for its performance in safety, quality, and production progress.
